AI in Education
On April 10, 2026, the Ministry of Education and four other departments in China issued a document outlining the “Artificial Intelligence + Education” action plan. This initiative aims to accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence education for primary and secondary school students and promote AI as a public foundational course in higher education. Notably, the plan also includes the incorporation of artificial intelligence into teacher qualification exams and certification content.

This development reflects a growing recognition of the importance of AI in the educational landscape and the need for educators to be equipped with relevant knowledge and skills in this area.
